Alessandra Colombelli is assistant professor at the Polytechnic of Turin and research associate at BRICK (Bureau of Research on Innovation, Complexity and Knowledge) - Collegio Carlo Alberto, Turin. She earned her PhD in Economics and Management of Technology at the University of Bergamo in 2008, where she also got the laurea degree in Management Engineering in 2003. She has been research associate at the CRENoS, University of Cagliari in 2009-2011, post-doc fellow at the Laboratoire d'Économie de la Firme et des Institutions (LEFI), University Lumière Lyon2 in 2010 and at the University of Turin in 2009. During her PhD she has been Marie Curie Fellow at the Manchester Business School in 2007. As an undergraduate, she was an Erasmus visiting student at the School of Business and Finance, University of Sheffield, UK.  Her research interests include topics in the fields of economics of innovation, corporate governance and regional economics. She has contributed several research projects including: Policy Incentives for the Creation of Knowledge: Methods and Evidence (PICK-ME) part of the EC 7th Framework Programme; The Economics of Innovation and Productivity at BRICK-Collegio Carlo Alberto; Sharing KnowledgE Assets: InteRregionally Cohesive NeigHborhoods (SEARCH) part of the EC 7th Framework Programme; and the project KIT: Territorial Dimension of the Innovation and Knowledge Economy, within the context of the EU ESPON programme.
