Francesco Quatraro is associate professor at the University of Torino, Department of Economics and Statistics and research associate at the BRICK, Collegio Carlo Alberto. He has been Maitre de Conferences at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis (on leave) since 2010 to 2014 and adjunct professor of Macroeconomics at the University of Torino since 2006 to 2010. In 2011 he got the French Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches and in 2007 he was awarded a PhD in Economics from the University of Turin, where he was appointed Research Associate in the Department of Economics before joining CNRS-GREDEG at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis to take up a 3-year Postdoctoral Research Fellowship. He has been a Visiting Fellow at the University of Manchester and Columbia University, New York. In 2008 he was appointed Deputy Director of BRICK (Bureau of Research on Innovation, Complexity and Knowledge) at the Collegio Carlo Alberto, Turin. His main research interests are in the areas of regional economics, the economics of knowledge and innovation and analysis of productivity growth. He has published in international journals like the Cambridge Journal of Economics, Regional Studies, Applied Economics, The Journal of Technology Transfer, International Review of Economics, International Review of Applied Economics, Research Policy and Economic Geography.
