WORKSHOP ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR PAPERS ON
Re-Imagining Europe: Demand-Driven Innovation and Economic Policy Where Schumpeter meets Keynes
21st - 22nd June 2012 Collegio Carlo Alberto Via Real Collegio 30, Moncalieri (Turin), Italy
The Bureau of Research on Innovation, Complexity and Knowledge (BRICK) at the Collegio Carlo Alberto announces a workshop in connection with the research project “Policy Incentives for the Creation of Knowledge: Methods and Evidence” (PICK-ME), funded by the European Commission under the 7th Framework Programme (Grant agreement 266959), on the new perspectives for innovation pulled by selective demand policies.
We aim to attract high quality contributions from both junior and senior scholars: a minimum number of slots are reserved to junior researchers (PhD, Post-docs or scholars who obtained their PhD in 2008 or later).
About 14 papers will be selected for presentation on the basis of a blind peer review and revision process.
The conference aims to include papers from the various streams of research developed in recent years in and around the field of the economic analysis of innovation and new technologies, which fully elaborate implications for demand-driven innovation policy in the context of the Europe 2020 policy frame (societal challenges: needs, demands to be solved by innovations).
Contributions are welcome from the following fields of research: - Economics of Innovation and New Technologies - Macroeconomics - Cliometrics and Economic History - History of Economic Thought - Economic Policy - Innovation and Research Policy
We welcome variety both in methodological approaches (e.g. theoretical, empirical, simulation) and in levels of analysis (e.g. firm, industry, region, organisation or institution).
Important dates: 31st January 2012 Deadline for full paper submission 31st March 2012 Deadline for notification of referee reports and decision 31st May 2012 Deadline for revised paper submission
