Pier Paolo Patrucco is Assistant Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics at the University of Turin, and Research Fellow of BRICK (Bureau of Research on Innovation, Complexity and Knowledge) at the Collegio Carlo Alberto (Moncalieri, TO). He was awarded a PhD in Economics from the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis, a Masters in Economics from ISTAO (Ancona) and a Laurea Degree from the University of Turin (summa cum laude). He has been a Visiting Fellow at the University of Manchester, at SPRU, University of Sussex, and at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies (RSCAS), European University Institute, Fiesole. His main research interests are in the economics of knowledge, innovation and new technology, industrial economics, regional economics and economics of organization. He has acted as a reviewer for Industry and Innovation, the Journal of Technology Transfer, Environment and Planning C, Structural Change and Economic Dynamics, Economics of Innovation and New Technology, Routledge, and for the National Science Foundation. He is a member of the Società Italiana degli Economisti, the International Schumpeter Society, the European Association for Evolutionary Political Economy and the Technology Transfer Association. He has published in Information Economics and Policy, Regional Studies, The Cambridge Journal of Economics, The International Review of Applied Economics, The Journal of Technology Transfer, Economics of Innovation and New Technology and Economic Geography.
